Kim Min-jun Heads to Riyadh for Tuwaiq Sculpture 2026

We’re excited to share that Korean sculptor Kim Min-jun will be one of the international artists invited to take part in the indoor installations of Tuwaiq Sculpture 2026, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from January 5 to 31, 2026.

Known for his architectural sensitivity and cross-media approach, Kim brings a unique perspective to sculpture, treating space as something alive, shaped by memory, culture, and everyday life. His installations often explore how we move through environments and how those environments, in turn, move through us.

The 2026 edition of Tuwaiq Sculpture centers on the theme “Traces of What Will Be,” inviting artists to carve meaning into stone, both literally and metaphorically. Working with locally sourced materials, Kim Min-jun will create a new large-scale rock formation sculpture that reflects his ongoing interest in how form, identity, and history intersect in the built world.
